The Location of Thrushcross Grange

This picture of the Wycoller valley near Colne, west of Haworth, shows the kind of location that Thrushcross Grange would occupy. The farm in the distance lies on the shallow, southern side of the valley, with the moors above (the higher moors would be to the north). The Grange, of course, would be in a park so the hedges and fields would be replaced with open grassland and areas of trees.
